Hi! I'm Jen. Mama to two small girls, who I get to stay home and play with all day.

A few months ago, I decided to try to move away from store bought items, and do more scratch cooking. I'd never call myself a chef, or a foodie. But, necessity is the mother of invention and I've come a long way. We are very simple eaters, "meat and potato", so I don't do many fancy recipes.

This blog is mainly for me to keep track of my recipes, and share the great ones with friends. I'm still learning which flavors work together, the science of baking, and how to make all this work without a fancy kitchen, and with two small ones under my feet.

My oldest, Nana, will be starting Kinder in the fall, so you'll share my journey of packing healthy, yummy lunches for her!
